Waay back when I had an Alfa-Romeo, toe-in was set after pre-loading the front end, to try for better straight line braking. Would I get the same benefit if I put a hundred pounds of download on the front-end of a Spridget before setting the toe-in? Or does the steering geometry auto-compensate?
