Just wanted to let you guys know that my new, made in Taiwan Chicago Pneumatic
model 9600 "stall saw" actually works pretty well and DID NOT STALL in over 8'
of cutting 20 ga mild steel. Of course, there were no curves to follow or
double thickness to cut.....yet. That's a huge improvement over the
performance of the Ingersoll-Rand tool it replaces (the I-R had a stalling
problem from new, through a couple of warranty rebuilds before I had them
over-bore it, which helped). The tool the I-R unit replaced also had the same
stalling characteristics. So, we'll see how this C-P unit performs and holds
up, as I've got a lot of sheet metal work to do this winter....It'll get a
GOOD work-out.
