As I understand calipers (I rebuilt mine on my other LBC) you can only hone
the inside and must be careful never to get any media near the insides, or
any of the openings because they will leak after installation. What is the
List doing? Are they keeping them together media blasting then take apart
hone, and install new kit before painting? Personally I would never risk
media near a caliper just use a wire brush. Also back in 1977 I painted mine
with regular enamel not high heat paint (I was young and there was no
Internet then.....hahaha) and it came off with the heat now they have paint
specially designed for heat & chemicals associated calipers using ceramic
technology.
