One more detail...
When having tires installed on any original Spridget wheel (modern
alloys are not susceptible to this), always ask to watch them balance
the wheels. When the balancer spins up the tire, watch the lower edge
of the rim for wobble. In fact, before you go, put the rims onto the
car and spin them by hand so you can see how much wobble they really
have. Modern tire balancing equipment expects the hole in the center
to be "true", and that is not the case with RO-Styles and it is
difficult to get the splined wheels true on the equipment. If there is
more wobble present on the tire balancer than there was on your car,
they will NOT be balanced when they are done. Talk to the boss or
manager ahead of time and explain that the rims are a bit of a
challenge on modern balancing equipment and they will generally take
the time and make it right. Different shops use different machines and
some work better on old tires than others...
