Could you orient the switch so that it is an up and down problem? This could
eliminate the problem except on hills.

As anyone on this list will understand, repairing the hazard switch to
perfect working condition cause the headlights, but not the tail lights, to
go out. That is a completely different circuit. Before, I had a right-left
problem. Now I have a front-back problem. I think I didn't realy fix
anything; I just rotated it 90 degrees.
