<<"You cannot use a historical vehicle for daily transportation.
An automobile collector normally registers a historical vehicle or a
vintage vehicle to use it for exhibits, club activities, tours, and
parades">>
In ILL there is ALSO a mileage restriction (just to 'stoke the fire'<G>),
Brian.
Then on top of that, if you are pulled over and the cop is having a BAD
day (or worse yet he/her is a Officer from the Sect. of State ---
VERY 'un-forgiving') if he/she decides you ARE in fact LYING about
you current 'activity' (such as being in supermarket Lot and your DO
have a couple bags of groceries<G>) not only will you receive a
CITATION (for improper license plate usage) but said plates "May"
be REMOVED from your car (& kept by the Officer) and NOW your
only 'option' is to have car flat-bed towed home !!!!
As I tell ANY "older" car owner, do NOT get Antq. Plates because
of above<G>!!! Out $78 for plates just got CHEAP, huh<G>!!!
BTW, you will NEVER get the plates (or a NEW registration w/Antq.
plates for the car) back. Yer screwed.
NOT a case for 'We Tight' !!!!!
