IMHO, vintage racing bastardizes the car at least as much as slapping a V8
in there. Between gutting the interior, removing e\wietgh, and installing
pipes, there is less chance of getting it back to a streetable "correct"
Healey than if you had carefully installed a V8. And that is before the
first "incident".
