This doesn't really answer your question, but we don't let that stop us, do
we?

You can pick up some great driving simulators and games for both the XBOX and
PlayStation 2. Logitech makes a Force Feedback wheel for the PS2, and I have
a Fanatech wheel for my XBOX. Match the XBOX with Forza, or the PS2 with Gran
Tourismo 4 and you have a great system that a few years ago would have sold
for around $400, now you can pick up for around $125 used.

GameStop sells this stuff, but independent shops will probably be best for the
wheel. If you don't care about particular games, find a wheel first. The
games and consoles are common. If you are prone to headaches from eye strain,
I'd steer you (get it...) towards the XBOX. It refreshes twice as much, which
I preferred, also Forza has better damage modeling.

Then grab a copy of Colin McRae 2005, TOCA Race Driver 3, and Burnout Revenge
(good with beer).

At least that's what I did.

I was wandering through Best Buy last night and saw that they have a lovely
Logitech steering wheel and pedal set for the PC. I looked in vain for any
software to take advantage of them. Probably there somewhere, I just didn't
see it. So, I was wondering whether the consoles have taken over or if there
is still any decent driving software out there. Anyone have a favorite?
