It may come as a BIGGER shock that I'm agreeing with Jim, well partly.
In the UK Bush's final speech came across as being gracious, reflective and
interesting. There are plenty of people in life who can't manage one let
alone all 3 of those qualities. I think we've all heard the bitter goodbye
speeches, the politicians who can't ever get over being rejected and dumped and
so forth so in that respect Bush can hold his head high.
Will Obama be any better? I think he'll find it's not as easy to change
things as he thought and it's easiest to win an election than run a country.
