I have spoken with the marketing director at one of our hotel casinos
and received the following information that might be of interest to
those undecided on a location.
Rooms $32.50 per night. At this time, All of May and the first two
weeks of June, 2011 are available. The nice thing about this hotel is
the fact that the pool is completely enclosed within a courtyard, so the
wind won't chill swimmers or loungers. The rooms are clean and
comfortable, and the staff bends over backwards to make your stay
pleasant. There is a 24 hour restaurant off the lobby and 24 hour
shuttles to take guests to other casinos, if desired.
In the casinos, soft drinks and coffee are provided free in the self
serve machines, and beer and hard liquor are also free for those who
wish to invest a penny or two in either the slots or the table games.
People playing the penny slots are treated as well as the high rollers.
The parking lot is patrolled regularly by security personnel and
employees and customers crossing it to the partner casino across the
street. In the five years that I have been here, I have never had
anything stolen from my unlocked vehicle.
They would prepare an all you can eat buffet in a private room for about
$17.95 per person depending on our choice of meats. This would include
two selections of meat and enough garden products to satisfy the hunger
of our favorite vegetarians. I know Jose, the head chef, personally, and
he takes great pride in what he prepares.
The local Morodders hot rod club would be happy to provide suggestions
for tours and such, as would the Harley folks.
