Hello David,
someone called it WWE racing.. and that is about right.
several points..
it used to be if you crashed there was a good chance of DYING.
that made the drivers try VERY HARD not to crash. now they use
bump drafting and all kinds of pushing a shoving making it more
like bumper cars than racing. when is the last time there wasn't
a caution flag with a sprint to the finish in the last 10 laps?..
speaking of caution flags... they throw on up whenever someone
gets too far ahead or for any reason and always have it out for
long enough for EVERYONE to get gas and tires. NOT just long
enough to clear up the problem whatever it may be.
as for the cars, they may as well be racing SPEC VW BEETLES. the
cars are all the same. they PAINT the grill on to make them look
different, but WOE to anyone who actually tries to make the car
better than the next guy. same with the engines. someone figures
out how to get 50 more horsepower out of one and the change the
rules... MID SEASON if they must....
the difference between this and F1 is that if F1 everyone has a
different car. i know many think of it as a parade as there is so
little passing in modern f1 racing, but at least they don't all
have to start from the SAME CHASSIS. IF someone figures out a
tech advantage within the rules, it isn't taken away within a
race or two by adding extra weight or other means.
