Glad you guys enjoyed the party. My bro says we have never run out of beer
before, but we did this time with an hour to go. Well done, boys. I'm
proud of the effort, but we'll have more next time. Let it never be said
again that we can't buy more beer than you can drink. ;-))
Dave, you are right. We are very fortunate to have such a nice facility.
And, no, you cannot move it to Palatine!
Dave G. is also right. The bombing runs are totally choreographed. All of
the explosions are set off on the ground. Dropping that kind of munitions
would be way too dangerous. As long as the EPA doesn't see how much black
smoke is let out, we will continue to see a good show.
See y'all next year.

Nice to see y'all. Good party Larry.
Dave didn't recognize me apparently due to my Dave Leib-like goatee and I'm
a jazz man glasses.

Larry sure throws a great party! Trish and I drove the Bugeye up to Oshkosh
yesterday for the fabulous Daniels Brothers EAA Air Show. Great seats and a
good show to go with a good potluck and lots of good people to talk with. We
brought a couple friends from the Miata club, since my buddy with the 78
Midget was not available. We took the scenic route up by way of Alden and
Walworth and the Kettle Moraine, although I opted for the direct route home.
Good thing, cuz Trish was getting a trifle chilly long before we got home
even as it was.
We got there in time to tour the Fox Cities All British Car Club facilities.
Too bad it is so far away from Palatine... What a place! 4-post lift, 2-post
lift, tools, bar, lounge, game room, ad nauseum.
Interesting air show. F22 Raptor (I am told -- what would I know) that was
doing some crazy drifting and insane noise. A rocket plane that had the most
incredible acceleration straight up. Bombers dropping some kind of
incendiary devices. Aerobatics teams. Skydivers. Just glad I diodn't have to
pay to refill any of those tanks! I posted a few shots at
http://spridgets.photoshop.com
We could not have asked for better weather for a 360-mile road trip and
party. Thanks, Larry!
