At Sprite Jubilee 2008, The 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Austin-Healey
Sprite, Dr. Rick Moses, organizer and planner, introduced his Bugeye trailer.
No big fanfare it was quietly placed in the banquet room to be discovered.
This has been a dream of Ricks for the last 15+ years and was made possible by
Jack Merryman of Merryman Modifications. It is all metal from front and rear
sections of a real bugeye body. Access to the weather proof storage area
inside is by the standard bonnet latch at front and the entire body lifts at
the front and is hinged at the rear. Inside is a chrome diamond plate, water
proof storage box. The towing arm/tongue is removable (as in the pictures) and
it has two drop down adjustable legs to stabilize it when unhooked and the
tongue removed. It also has it's own small 12 volt battery so that the lights
can be operated when in the display mode along with a standard wire loom for
towing.
