My Longman head (not the $1500 one; this is the one
about 1/2 that) is marked 21cc. I bought it new, never
cc'd it. I spec'd pistons based on that. I was
concerned last winter when I did the annual valve job
and the machinist said 6 thou needed to be milled for
flatness. I asked him to cc it to determine if I
needed a thicker head gasket or wanted to risk 13:1+
CR. AFTER machining it came to 21.5 cc. Gotta love
Longman. Lesson learned, cc it every time.
