Let me know if you need comparison photos, I still can't mine together yet
so its still all exposed.
I did get the slave apart though-I guess you don't need that much pressure
to push the piston out with the air compressor...

Subject: [Spridgets] stuck in first gear
Hello all,----I have a friend with a rib case that is stuck in first gear.
We'll pull the trans this weekend and have a look. I do have one question
though. The last time I did a gearbox I noticed there was a grove of sorts
on
the inside of the selector fork. I assumed it was purposely machined that
way
but always wondered if it was really the result of wear.If wear caused it,
is there any specification as to the minimum thickness? Also, is there any
truth to the rumor that the 5 speed Datsun boxes are getting hard to come
by?
TIA,---Bob C in Kansas
