or J springs. I use a long pointee pair of smallish chanel locks. Put my
gloves on grab the spring center post at the top with the chanel locks and
push like heck now when it if fully compressed it needs to slide toward the
outside. Do that with a screw driver.

boy am I glad it is not an often job. Usually just cut em off and use new
ones. They can be a real pain to remove.

Now, I really would like to hear how this should be done.
