I have just received an AAMCO (name?) aftermarket tonneau cover designed for
the 70's Midget.
It's real clean. Black on both sides. All fasteners and hardware like new.
BUT, one - it's tight fit. Likely it has sat folded and wrinkled on a shelf.
The tight fit fits snug but nice. Methinks it will likely loosen up a tad.
Biggest problem so far is.....there is only one of those tonneau cover studs
on the dash to the right of the mirror. And in turn there is one female
fitting upon the cover.
But the far right dash button on the cover is a beast to reach the vent
window side button connector. And to me it is an awkward fit with the button
on the window sitting vertically. Maybe after the top gives a little more
this might come together nicer....
I realize pictures would make all this easier to visualize....
Here is the question...any advice on the wisdom of installing cover
post-studs on either far sides of the dash. It would seem that would be the
best fitting solution - but the idea of punching holes in the metal dash is
..... ferget it.
