Some time I'd like to try that with my '67 bugeye Frankensprite.
But I don't want you guys screwing up the works with your "helpful"
emails to potential suckers...I mean customers.
Bidniss is bidniss, my favorite pimp used to say. These "trunked"
bugeyes are CLASSICS! "Thought to have been driven by Sterling Moss,
John Sprinzel and Lorenzo Bandini."
Buy now! Recent sales touched the $8,000 mark and are only going up!

Alan & Spridgets,
Does anyone recall a red MKII or MKIII with Bugeye bonnet for sale on
ebay a
month or so ago? The guy was stating this was the only Bugeye with a
trunk
lid but in actuality it was just a nice little MKII or MKIII with Bugeye
bonnet. Well he supposedly would not accept it was anything other than a
59
Bugeye with a "special" trunk boot. And according to the vin plate it is
a
MKI vin plate. I saw it sell for a high number over 8K or possibly 10K.
I
felt badly for the buyer when I saw it sell for such a high price and
sent
him an email the hour he won the bid and explained that it was a MKII or
MKIII but never heard from him. The car came back on ebay last week or
so
ago and that guy stated the same and said he put 11K in it. I guess that
is
what he won the bid for. He also said NY doesn't supply title for older
cars. Well I was curious and asked him when he got it and he said June.
I
know it's the same car because the speaker wires were hanging from the
trunk. He pulled the car off ebay for 1 day and then relisted it and now
as
I am tracking the bidding he has declined several bids. It has gone up &
down on the bids or has been sold elsewhere. Very interesting situation.
I
guess he should have done his homework.
