Bill has already answered the initial timing set-up for the Crane. The cylinder filling profile for the Kent 286 would suggest more static advance with faster than stock rate of advance at the low end, "capped" at 28 to 32 at the top depending upon octane used and compression ratio. I believe Ron Soave said it best a while ago. Quick curve to, and total reached, by 3-3.5k. Cap'n. Bob '60 :{) |
