Hi all -
I have been having a difficult time finding a rear anchor bar for my Bugeye.
This is the metal bar that fastens inside the convertable top below the rear
window and then holds the top to the two small chrome fasteners that are
permantley installed in the body behind the seats.
Moss part number 644-210 is the same part - however for the big Healey. At
least it tells me that Moss has this part and identified it, albiet for the
wrong car. I also wonder if this part will work, with some mods, for my top?
I have looked under Sprite / Midget over and over again and it seems that I
cannot find the same part for my Bugeye. Moss part number 400-670 might be
the part I need - however it is under a different name, called a "Retaining
Strip".
Does anyone know how I might hunt down the exact part to fasten the rear of
my convertable top to the stays that are fastened into the car body behind the
seats?
