This low indicated oil pressure just come on
suddenly, John? How many miles on the motor? Has it always indicated this way
or has "indicated" only recently fallen off?
Need some background info, John!!!
Yes, oil pumps do wear. Since you mentioned no engine noises accompanying the
low pressure indications, I'd suspect a faulty (gauge) indication to begin with.
Have a mech. check with a "master" gauge.
