sway bar links?

The sway bars links which I salvaged off of the parts project, are very  
rusty, and the rubber inside the ball is dried out. The plan is to remove and  
replace the threaded studs, blast and powder coat the links and the rest of the 
 
sway assembly.
 
Can these studs be removed and replaced?
Do I need to buy all new links, which will put this we tight project over  
budget.
