Another thread thread, windshield frame

Was going to replace the 2 studs on the sides of the frame (Mk2 Sprite). One
snapped off, drilled out, easy out won't take it out (chickened out, afraid of
snapping it). Hogged it out a bit more, thinking a tap will take out the
remnants, or at least leave me with a properly threaded hole. Can't figure out
what that thread is, not in my tap and die set. The hole son the side also
need chasing, same thread size.
