It IS amazing this stuff happens, isn't it?

Trip to Portugal back in early 70's. Pick up
car and head to a town and pensione at an
out of the way non-touristy place.

Check in, have a shower and wifey and I
head downtairs for a bite to eat on the
outside porch. Sit down next to a couple
and notice....they're American.

Say "Hi", where ya from? Stamford, CT!!!
"Neighbors" of ours who live down the street within a couple of miles of us!!!
