Anybody want to offer any advice? Any real life examples?
Too much cam is NO GOOD for the street. BTDT and went to a Kent 266 from a Vizard VP7.
My kid's Mini is down getting it's too much cam replaced with something that lets the car idle and not foul the plugs after 30 miles.
I did the larger rim flow valves in a ported head. $500 pasted to the valve cover would have done the same thing. No real noticable improvment but the gas mileage did improve.

I run 30 overbore. Kent 266 cam, Weber DCOE, aluminum flywheel, and an adjustable timing belt setup.
It's not a race car but it sure is fun on the local highway from red light to red light. :)
A little combo of both urethane and rubber on a 1" lowered suspension with a 3/4" sway bar and it handles real nice too.
I do run out of power at the upper end, say 85-90 miles per hour but how ofter do you maintain speeds like that? I can cruise all day at 80 mph, and I have. It is also very comfortable at 40 mph, and it idles at 600 rpms.
