OK. This is kinda embarrassing. The "1098" I pulled
out of my 65 midget donor car has the engine ID
12/1671Z/L 625. Or something very close. The # in the
block casting is 12G 1279. 

I had operated on the chassis ID and the assumption of
an original engine - duh. Anyone help me ID this
engine?
