I was in the local AutoZone this afternoon picking up a few electical
connectors for my 1500 dash. They have some TVs over the counter now
that are on all the time, and this time I hear a bit about Sprites. The
clip went on to state that Sprites were made only from '58 to '61 and
all of them were bugeyes.
Apparently everyone outside of the brit car community is ignorant of
even the mk2 Sprite, let alone my 1500 Midget!

Being a Frogeye owner since the dawn of the Mesozoic Era, I was keenly
aware, even before there was a Sprite Mark II, of the manner in which we
were looked down upon by owners of Ego Healeys. Although saddened when
the Mark II and then Midgets came out, I think that the only way for our
continued existence is as "Spridgets". Oh, I can see the rationale for
a divsion of "honors", but I am not at all sure it would be beneficial
to the species.
