Use a good piston. Have your crank magnafluxed, and nitrided. Stock rods
(pinch bolt) are fine, (1098 free floating are better). Have them stress
relieved, and shot peened. Use good bearings (harder to find all the time).
Balance the whole deal, and you're good to go.
Mine sees 8500 rpm.

Ok, so if one were to build a bulletproof 948 the first thing is to
throw it away and get a 1275 right? Or is there a way to keep a 948
crank from exploding? Just curious at this point..
