That sounds great, to me. Consider it shared with the listers. I think the
idea of two (east & west) celebrations is the most logistically practical,
and would enable more folks to attend one or the other. The region you
speak of is truly beautiful, and spending a day at Summit Point, or VIR
would really make it special.
Another bonus, of holding the event in that area would be some "epic"
drives, by Spridgeteers traveling to the event, over scenic, "back roads",
from all over the eastern half of the country.

I haven't been reading all the posts on the 50th anniv. idea, but I'll run
this by you, and if you care to you can share it with the listers. I too
share your passion for mountain twisty bits. Some of the best are along Hwy
501 and Va 130 from Lynchburg to Buena Vista, Va (saw them again Sun).
Anyway, there is a beautiful park in Waynesboro, Va called Riverside Park
that used to host a nice British Car Show the first or second Sat. in Oct.
The weather was always beautiful, park is shade from BIG trees (some are
walnut, so watch where you park), and large areas of sunshine and green
grass. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 3-4 miles away, and lots of
great mountain driving all around. Don't know if the show is still held or
not, haven't been able to find any info about it in 2-3 years. Used to have
the show on Sat. then caravan to Summit Point Raceway for the Vintage races
on Sunday. Could be a great place and time for an event such as the listers
are thinking about... Just another possibility to consider, offered up by a
transfer caseless LBC fanatic. RKB
