Mini Meet eat meets west will be in Minneapolis in 09. I was on the
committee for the MG2001 international in St Paul, at the Minnesota State
Fairgrounds and so I'm in on the Mini meet planning. No matter what I'm
going to hit you up for help with that.
I have access to couple of big parking lots and I can seat 275 for dinner in
Minneapolis.
If we did it in June I could probably get us into a Parade if anybody wants
to practice Shriner-Style manouvres for the public's enjoyment. Last year we
overheated a couple of Minis doing this but it was fun.
If we opted for July there's a hillclimb in Afton, MN hosted by the Healey
Club every year provided nobody slams into a solid object before then and
gets us cancelled.
Autocross at the St Paul Saints Staduim lots just north of the Fairgrounds.

Well I'm not in the Mid-America region as Frank put it, seeing as I'm here
on the southeastern coast of Virginia, but I'm willing to pitch in and do
what
I can.
This year will be the third year that I will be serving as the registrar
for
the annual Mini Meet. Every year Mini Meet East it's sister event Mini Meet
West usually attracts upwards of 150 to 200 cars at each event. This June,
Mini Meet East is being held in Frederick, Md. I acted in the capacity of
registrar for Mini Meet East in Charleston, SC in 2002, and for West Meets
East
Mini Meet in Rockford, Il. in 2004. This one was a once every five years
national event where both coasts come together. For that event we had nearly
300
cars.
In any case, if anyone steps up to try to organize this event in 2008, you
can count me in to help with, or handle the registration process, so you'd
better record my email address right now.
