Ya know, no one I know has ever failed one of these
blocks. I chalk that up to urban (Vizard) legend. I
know of 2 people running them, one with 130+ HP, the
other around 120, with absolutely no problems. These
are 8000+ RPM motors with center main straps, but
while I would choose the thick-flanged block, I
wouldn't pass up a thin one.
