Your on the right track. I use 3M 08080 spray. Follow the directions.
Take your time as the ends need to be tucked and slightly pulled. I
would also recommend getting new clips from a British supplier or use
your old ones, if they are present and in usable condition.
Save the cut-outs from the gauges. They can be re-used on the headlights
to make them look cross-eyed or for the next remake of Willy Wonka.
