Oil pan gaskets

I've had much trouble trying to keep oil in the engine.  This time I've
pinned it down to a leaky front oil pan gasket.  The rear looks like it
could have been leaking, as well.  I've only used the cork gaskets in the
past, but I've also got a set of the rubber type.

Any experience with the rubber out there?  Are they better than the cork?
