I don't know about HO, but the 1/32 scale Scalextric setups are fun and have some interesting cars like the MINI, the Caterham 7, open wheel, Nascar, Indy, etc. They also have a "pacer" Mercedes ( http://www.scalextric-usa.com/challenger.asp ) that learns the track and is supposed to give you serious competition.
