Hi all, Just finished retiming my cam (to the intake lobe, this time). Prior to installing the cover, I cleaned the old gasket crap off the engine block, and got a few pieces (and slivers) on the chain. I cleaned it as much as I could with compressed air, but there may still remain a little of the paper gasket and silicone goop. Is the chain durable enough to just mash the leftover into nothing? -Mike |
