While installing the correct dampener spring and needle in my 1.25 SU
(single carb for bugeye) (which greatly increased ease of tuning) I
noticed that after idling a while my float started to spit out gas.
Float level has been adjusted correctly.
The float bowl needle seems to be in good shape.
Using a electric solid state low pressure fuel pump similar to this.

I think I need a fuel regulator.
Would an over active electric fuel pump cause your idle mixture to be
on the rich side?
Especially not using a fuel regulator?
Anyone able to get fuel regulators from "Auto Zone" or "Napa Auto
Parts" or "Southern Auto Supply" or "Kragen" locally that control 1.5
psi to 3.5?
Purlator used to make an adjustable one but I think they were all recalled.
Maybe someone out there has found a fuel regulator that works really good.
