Odd SUV Ads

This morning I wanted some bad news, so I was checking Weather.com's version 
of the future. There on the screen was this ad for the Mercury Mariner:

Introducing Mercury Mariner.
Behind every door, there's another discovery

Is this a new level of truth in advertising? Maybe just a new low in 
intelligence in advertisers?
I guess I am easily amused.
