Must be true...
Lucas provides the electrics for a good
many airliners, three of which I used to
fly (Fokker 28, CL-44 & BAE-146). These
had no special problems in this regard and were as reliable/dependable
as any
other type far as I know.
The SAAB 340's were another matter
entirely..."home of the stray electron"
so to speak. You just never knew when
and where something electrical wasn't
gonna come up. Fortunately, in most cases, a simple "reboot" of the
electrical
system would get that "stray electron" lined up with all the others and
you were
back in business ('til the next time, anyway!:).
