       i don't know for car what relay to suggest... BUT,

       i do like both the allen bradley OR POTTER BRUMFELD "ice cube
       relays" available at electrical supply houses. get a relay AND
       the appropriate base! available for 12 volt input!

       with enough of these things you can (and people DID!!!) build
       computers. of course they had to be reWIRED to be reprogrammed,
       the computers were the size of warehouses, the heat dissapation
       was a problem and the power consumed must have been
       spectacular..... but they worked!
