Morning all,
as the '59 nears completion I have run into another problem to whit:
There is a "U" bracket that hold the top of the rear bumper to the body
The "U" bracket is not symmetrical
The "U" bracket if installed with the longer end toward the car lines
up with a hole in the body
Inside the trunk is a buttress for the bumper
The buttress has holes that bolt to the floor and a hole for a bumper
bolt to go through
The hole in the body and the hole in the buttress do NOT line up.
Questions:
Are there more than one buttress? ie. could I have the wrong buttress
for the car? If so, anyone have the right size?
Which way is the "U" bracket supposed to be mounted? Long or short
side to the car?
