My everyday ride is a Plymouth Neon coupe that gets nearly 40 mpg. However,
on the occasions that I either need to carry or tow something, I have a 1
ton crewcab that does both very well. I sometimes get dirty looks from
people in their riceballs when I'm running empty, but I never tailgate,
always signal well in advance, and slow down when some idiot in their souped
up Honduh cuts me off. I like driving a large vehicle because I can see
farther ahead and that enables me to drive more defensively. Brutus gets 10
mpg whether empty, loaded, or pulling any trailer that I put behind him.
