1958 Bugeye Sprite 93rd Made VIN593 Ex-Racecar
For sale is a very early 1958 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite, the 93rd car off the
assembly line (VIN 593). Includes: Body (the tub), Suspension, and Drivetrain.
The body is very solid. Included is the suspension and drivetrain from car
VIN524 The engine number is 9C 210. This is not a standard bugeye engine
number, but there are enough original early parts on the engine and
transmission, that I believe this engine is original. The transmission is
numbered M185 and it still has an alloy clutch slave that was only on very
early cars. This car is an ex-racecar. I am told that this car was always a
racecar; it may never have been registered. Still has roll bar mounting points.
It does have some race rash, but I would rather fix race rash than repair rust.
The car has some damage to the very front of the car that can be repaired with
the front section from car VIN524 There are many rare parts in this lot. I have
a 9 stud windshield and soft top available separately. Delivery may be possible
to some parts of MA, NH, and VT. The car is located near Boston, MA. Please
stop by and take a look. Pictures can be sent on request. Price $485/BO
