A friend bought a new car and used his credit card.
It was giving 2% cash back on "all purchases"
The car cost just over 18,000 GBP so his cashback earned was a worthwhile
360 GBP

He then transferred the debt to a second card that was on an introductory
offer of 0% for 6 months, and after that to a third card also on a 0%
introductory rate.
After a year he cleared that card transferring to a conventional low
interest loan.

It isn't difficult to manage these cards to your advantage.
