You need 12mm (rear bell housing, driveshaft), 14mm (starter, front bell
housing, clutch slave, and exhaust), 17mm (rear tranny mount & exhaust).
Pliers (speedo cable). With the exception of the driveshaft, sockets will
work fine. A long wobbly extension will help with the rear bell housing
bolts. Always do the top starter bolt first. You can just cut the hose on
the clutch slave in the yard and remove it later. A screwdriver will help
pry the tranny off the engine. You don't have to remove the front exhaust
bracket from the pipe, just the one bolt holding the mount to the tranny( if
it won't pry off the engine easily this is the bolt you missed).

Maek
I pulled 2 out of Datsuns in the junk yard with some basic tools.
Not exactly sure what metric sizes, like 10, 13, 14, maybe 15, and 17mm
wrenches, pliers and screwdrivers.
Be sure to grab the drive shaft or atleast the front yoke and the speedo
cable.
It's pretty easy. Ask if the yard can raise the car up on a stack of old
tires or something so you can get under it.
