> Not to give your son any ideas, but........ When I was in college a friend of mine owned a mid-sixties VW bus. He quickly tired of the anemic power output of the stock VW drivetrain. So.....he pulled the VW engine and transaxle and installed a 350hp Chevy 327 mounted mid-ships mated to an auto trans driving a Chevy rear axle.
