Well I am convinced that someone invented a micro chip that tells a part
to fail on the 366th day if it has a one year warranty.
My saws last one year and a week almost to the day, and now the
electronic ignition I recieved at SS03 in May last year has died.
But it's been 14 months!, not really, I installed it for the PA rallye
last July. Which was July 26th (I think) Now on 7/28 I have no spark.
It comes down to a dead electronic unit.
Points work and can be made to work on the side of the road, I do carry
a spare points dizzy in the Sprite but anyone who swears by these
electronic units better carry points with them and know how to set them
on the side of the road.
3 electronic units, my best time was 11 months before it fried.
But chasing down a no start problem still beats body work on a
Healeysaur.
