blue smoke blues

Totally amateur question here, but...A partially
resurrected MG runs OK for a while, but now the front
carb has no suction, the front two plugs are wet, and
it billows blue smoke and won't idle or rev up. No
clangs or bangs, and I've been gently tweaking the
carbs...any hints..is it bad?
