windshield (windscreen) replacement.

  as you may recall (or NOT) i took a rock and am getting the
  windshield replaced. ...

  what is the best way to remove (and replace) the windscreen on a box
  sprite... the more detail the better. ... i was reading the bentley
  manual.. they say something about removing the "fascia" which i
  assume means the dash, and the instructions also include lowering
  the steering column?!?!?!!? .. just to get the windshield?... ..
