Hello Jim, not only is handling off, but tests (by Mercedes Benz!) indicate that ONE bad shock can (and usually does) increase STOPPING DISTANCE by 50% or more... i don't recall if it mattered if it was in the front or rear that made the big difference, but what happens is that that one wheel doesn't maintain proper contact with the road under braking! ...
