engine choice

I have a chance to buy a rebuilt later 1275 with the gearbox for an asking
price of $1500.

I am not yet sure of the engine year but I am guessing early 70s.  Rebuild
was done by an experienced shop now closed in the Bethlehem area.  The
engine has never been run.  Are there any drawbacks to the later 1275s?  I
plan to put it in my 60 bugeye later this year.
